Daniel Finsler
having switched a layer's transfer mode to 'invert' or to 'transparent' prints well on quickdraw printers. Postscript output seems to neglect the feature and prints all objects opaque. (tried on HP 755cm, LaserWriter 8500, print to pdf) Quote Link to comment
Guest
Right. PostScript itself lacks the ability to handle transparency, and considers all drawing to be opaque. Quote Link to comment
TiTaNiuM sAMuRai
I couldn't find a newer topic to re-address this issue, but... I know PSL1 and L2 don't support transparency, but doesn't PS Level 3 add support for transparency? I thought I read it in an Illustrator manual. Quote Link to comment
TiTaNiuM sAMuRai
Specifically, we just bought a PSL3 printer. I was hoping that the transparency feature that was missing with our PSL2 printer (HP LaserJet 4V) would be resolved with the new unit. Quote Link to comment
