AndiACD
OK, i know that there is no longer a separate 2D and 3D rotate tool as all i can find is one tool in the basic tool palette set, but when i follow the same procedure as before, clicking on the point around which i wish the object to rotate then clicking on the point i wish to relocate and finally the point to which i wish it to relocate the object, it jumps to a point far beyond the required location. What am i doing wrong? i've checked the Legacy Tools to see if i could resurrect the old "3D Rotate Tool", but it's total demise seems to have eliminated this possibility. Unless someone knows different. No doubt there is something somewhere in the deepest darkest annuls of the settings/preferences i've missed out on, but i'm damned if i can suss out what it is . . . . Can anyone Help me to return simple, precise results to this tool? Quote Link to comment
Oyvind
When applying the Rotate tool to a 3D object there are 3 more options available; Standard, Alignment and Screen plane. Try to select the Screen plane option. Quote Link to comment
