esotec
I recently changed platforms and need to translate files from MiniCad 6 (Mac) format to Vectorworks 8 (Windows). I understand the translator is available only for Mac? Do I need VW8 running on a Mac to run the translator? Is there a Windows based translator? Thanks! Quote Link to comment
Guest
Vectorworks 8 (Windows) will open MiniCAD 6 (Mac) files automatically. You don't need a separate translator. MC and VW files are cross-platform so you can open them on either platform. -- John Williams jodawi@nemetschek.net Quote Link to comment
DaveHi50
try adding the extension .mcd to the end of the MC6 document after you copy it to the windows machine...you should see the Vector works icon after doing this..should be recognized as a minicad document after doing this and open in vworks hope this helps Quote Link to comment
