Converting 2008 file to 2009

I get the following message when I try to open a document created in version 2008.

"Some of the objects could not be regenerated.

This file may have solids that have failed to regenerate. You may not be able to perform further operations on these objects. You may be able to regenerate them successfully by editing them."

What gives? In all the previous iterations of this software I have never had a problem updating a file. Is there anything I can do in 2008 to make sure that the 2009 file converts correctly?
