Malte Koeditz
Hi, Im new to vectorworks and have come across a bit of a problem. Im trying extrude a circle along a NURB curve using the extrude along path tool. There are various of these shapes I need to create and when I try it I get two different responses. Either VW (2008) tells me "extrude along path failed due to invalid path or profile object" or it works but VW creates some sort of wacky shape - unexpected. I have attached a file into which I have copied the circle profile and one of each of the NURB curves. Thanks, Malte Edited November 22, 2008 by Malte Koeditz Quote Link to comment
mike m oz
The two separate paths you have are too complex for Vectorworks 2008. Perhaps try simplifying them. Extrude along path works with both paths in Vectorworks 2009 though. An indication of the more robust modelling capability Parasolids provides. Quote Link to comment
Malte Koeditz
Thanks, Im waiting on my copy of VW 2009 - educational license. It's going to be a couple of weeks till I get it though, we're a bit behind here in the UK. So thats not going to help me - my final presentation is this friday. Never mind.
