alfresco
I have created a plant list for a project. I would like to use the worksheet for other purposes, ie. email etc to nurseries or other service providers. Is ist possible to copy, forward export a copy of the worksheet to a file or other users with out forwarding the entire file? Thanks. Quote Link to comment
Ozzie
Sure - activate the Worksheet - go File/Export WS - there are several formats you can export to - I generally use TAB and it will be exported as a text file You can then import it into software like Excel, Word I am on Windows Quote Link to comment
gmm18
If the people you are sending this to are only reading it (not adding to it or marking it up), then you might also try these two options: 1). Place the worksheet on a Sheet Layer, then Export as PDF. 2). Just do a screenshot of it. And spend the half a minute you just saved enjoying a few sips of coffee. Note that when you do Export the worksheet for use in Excel, it becomes a "dummy." That is all of the functions/formulas are gone. Quote Link to comment
Benson Shaw
I haven't tried it with a worksheet object, but in Mac OSX, select and copy a VW object, then paste the selection into an email. It shows up as a PDF attachment (or in-line graphic for some recipients). There is probably a Windows version of this, too. -B Quote Link to comment
alfresco
Thank you for your help! When I activate the woksheet and go to file /Export as suggested, I get a message that states "A worksheet is not active". Any suggestions? Thanks you very much for your assistance!
