HP Sauce
We need to show a few control joints in a rendering we're doing, and they're not coming out quite right. Most look fine, but as you'll see from the attached picture they're a little hit & miss... Any ideas? Using HDRI Final Quality Render mode and we'd rather not have to switch to a custom mode just for this (that is, assuming final gather's "detail size" option would fix it). Attached are two pictures, one showing how they're modelled and another showing the finished product. Thanks for any help Quote Link to comment

HP Sauce
Hi Dave Sorry, yes we'd like to see the tiny indent created by the control joint. The building is so boring we're hoping the joints will pretty it up a little. Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Dave Donley Posted November 12, 2008 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted November 12, 2008 (edited) Although it looks like the resolution is pretty high you will probably have to up the resolution to get the gaps to appear consistently. It looks like the anti-aliasing it blending them out at this resolution. Edit: Or maybe place a directional light coming from the side to just force the issue a bit. HTH! HP Sauce
Increasing the DPI to 400 worked a treat. Thanks again Quote Link to comment
