Mark Ellis aka Elvis
Hello all, I'm returning to Vectorworks 2008; only having used the software briefly for 2D when it was MiniCAD. Could someone please tell me how to draw a vertical truss? I searched the forum before posting but did not find anything on this. I'm sure it is something simple. Thank you in advance, Mark Ellis Quote Link to comment

cad@sggsa
Also you could create a symbol of a vertical truss by editing, and deleting the 2D of it, enabling you the rotate freely. Quote Link to comment
cad@sggsa
Good day all Just to correct myself here... You do not delete the 2D of the truss.... In a 3D view you ungroup the truss to loose the 2D aspect of it, but by doing that you loose the truss info as it becomes an extrude. I was busy creating a lattice truss, rotated 90deg. The 2D showed it was still laying flat on the floor. Now. Is there a way to create a truss with the truss tool and then have the 2D aspect of it removed, but still keep it as a truss creation?? BHunter
What if you were to edit the 2D symbol and delete everything but the "top" chord? Quote Link to comment
