bonus
I have a file set to black&white only in doc pref. Still in the sheet layers some objects show in colour. Anyone clever enough....? see attached: Quote Link to comment
Bozman
I believe the "Black and White" only applies to the lines, not the surface patterns. Thus, the lines are black, but the roof pattern is still whatever color/pattern you have chosen. Sometimes you can reprint from a PDF and that will convert the entire image to truly "gray-scale" which is what I think you want. Quote Link to comment
M.CH
The Document preference>Black and White only should do the trick. It works for lines, fills and patterns Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
Rendered images don't respond to the B&W preference setting. It looks like you have a viewport that is rendered in OpenGL and that is what you are seeing in color. Maybe try using the Unshaded Polygon render mode instead. Pat Quote Link to comment
bonus
Pat, you're right, rendered objects don't respond to these settings. In a way it doesn't bother me as long as the lines are black. Surfaces in colour come out great in b/w printers anyway. It's just that it would be great to see what you get. Quote Link to comment
gmm18
You could use Viewport Class Overrides to change the color of the roof objects to white in that viewport. (As long as you have the roof class set to "Use at Creation" and the actual roof object attributes set to use class. Or, just with the PDF you already have, you can Open in Preview, do a "Save As", PDF with the Greytone Filter Option. Quote Link to comment
