Electrical "phase" symbol

Recommended Posts

Welcome to the list.

The same way you would do it in any program, you would need to provide your OS for instructions.

Please create a signature with your version of Vectorworks including service packs and computer specs including OS.

I don't know about 08, but in 12.5 the engineering symbol is in the EE Engineering document inside the VECTORWORKS BASIC folder in the library.

If you're wanting the "?" symbol, you could always draw it.

If you want it as text, you just need to use the Greek letter THETA. Although in some fonts PHI looks better.

How do you type a phase symbol, e.g. a "?" in 2008?

Haven't you done it yourself?

The phase symbol is the letter phi, ?, not theta.

You can use a symbol font, but it's available in regular fonts as well if you know the correct key strokes (on the Mac it's available in all normal fonts, and it's simply option-o or option-O for lower or upper case respectively). That's all I do for the phase symbol on my drawings.
