pepsi
I just woke my girlfriend up at 2 in the morning with the darn music-intro thingy. Everybody has seen it by now, it is very nicly done, but also very disturbing. Please take this into consideration. Quote Link to comment
D Wood
Pepsi There are other posts about this, and a mute button has been added to the home page. If you're going to surf the web at 2am, maybe you should mute your computer first, or surf in another room, but don't blame someone else if you have a problem. Quote Link to comment
Christiaan
So, blame the user? I guess we should expect such a view from a forum full of architects. Personally I think it's a reasonable expectation that you're not going to be violated by someone's adolescent idea to put music on the front page of the website of a company that produces sophisticated, professional CAD software. Auto-play music is just plain bad web design. Period. I just hope whichever marketing people had a say in this choice don't get a say in the design of my CAD software. They'd probably want to bring Clippy the Office Assistant to VW. By the way, I did exactly the same thing Pepso: http://techboard.nemetschek.net/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Board=12&Number=110847 Quote Link to comment
billtheia
YES - please remove the loud, slow, and obnoxious flash movie from the NNA home page. I hate it. Quote Link to comment
LJ TMS
NNA webmaster, please read this article... http://www.seomoz.org/blog/how-to-convince-a-client-their-site-doesnt-need-music Quote Link to comment
Steven Kenzer
I too, need to chime in and say, yes, please remove the music. Ok, sure, now there is a mute button but often, when going to the site, one forgets, gets blasted by this incredibly annoying music and only then resorts to clicking the mute button. For me, there is no connection between the aesthetics of the company, site, product and this awful sound. I was relieved to see this post and to realize others have had the same reaction. The music does nothing to enhance the site.............period. Quote Link to comment
cad@sggsa
Yay!! They have removed that intro video..... Quote Link to comment
Christiaan
Great, now I need something else to complain about. Well there?s always they fact that they?re still using Flash (the lazy web designer?s tool), so their website looks broken on the iPhone. Quote Link to comment
billtheia
WOO HOO! I'm so glad that thing is gone. Quote Link to comment
