Unable to install VW 2008 Student Edition on PC

Ethan Krupp

Question

I'm trying to install VW 2008 Student Edition on a PC running Win XP SP2. The install seems like it goes fine, get the install successful window, and it asks to restart the PC. The IE registration window also pops up. However, I can't get the program to actually open. The process starts and just hogs all the processor resources. Also tried the Eval version and had the same results. VW 2008 and the Eval version do NOT show up on the add/remove programs list.

I've also tried uninstalling and reinstalling Quicktime with no success.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts or suggestions.

Thanks.

I have installed VW 2008 on vista machines and got them going, but now I am trying to install them on a a XP Pro sevice pack 2 and it works fine as a admin account, but as soon as I take away rights, it does not even start up. I work for an educational outfit, thus admin rights for students is a no go.

Has anyone else come up with similar issues...?
