GoodwinLtg
Good Afternoon. I am working on a project in a ballroom with a curved drop ceiling. The File I have only has 2D information. I would like to "create" a 3D version of the room. The ceiling is made up of 2x2 drop ceiling panels and forms a dome or arch from side to side. I understand how to use the drop ceiling IPO, but how do I fit it to a curved surface? Thanks, Glen Quote Link to comment
gmm18
I don't think the Ceiling PIO will do this. It sounds like you are describing a barrel vault. But it will be very easy to make this using extrudes... here is a 10 second version, which I am sure would do the trick with just a few more minutes of fiddling with it once you know exactly what it should look like. Go to a 'front' view, draw an arc, trace over it with the shape of your tiles, then extrude the length of the room. Then decide how much detail you want... Quote Link to comment
GoodwinLtg
Thanks, This what I ended up doing as well. Just wondering if I missed something in the drop ceiling creation or in the PIO. Maybe align to arc or path?? Thanks, Glen Quote Link to comment
