g_arch
Hi, I've been working on this file and I keep having a duplicate of some of my objects, like a floor plate, appearing in front of everything. I can still select the walls and doors below it, but I can't delete the object itself. I tried right-clicking it to activate the class/layer but it says: no object at click point. We just switched to vectorworks 2008 and my work computer only has a 512MB Ram card, could that be the problem? (OS X 10.4.11) Any ideas? Edited October 1, 2008 by g_arch Quote Link to comment
Benson Shaw
Option Click creates a duplicate of the clicked object. Were there some inadvertent option clicks during current or previous work sessions? Dunno why it can't be selected. Usually that means class or layer settings. Try Select All. Try Force Select. If object has no fill, then click for Force Select must intersect the perimeter vector. Close file and dupe it. See if copy file behaves better. Try a relaunch or restart? Good luck! -B Quote Link to comment
mmyoung
If you are working in 3D in 2008, it can get a little unstable. So far better with the new Parasolids kernel. Try restarting the machine, opening a clean file, and copying some or all of your objects there. If the file is corrupt, sometimes that's the only way to fix it. Quote Link to comment
