Mies
Just downloaded and installed PC version of Vectorworks Viewer 2008. I click on "Help" and I get a screen that essentially says, "This is Vectorworks Viewer 2008, if you would like to purchase full version of Vectorworks, send money." As near as I can tell this is displaying HelpLinks.pdf which is in in the VWHelp directory under the root install directory. Where do I get the dang help file? Thanks, M Quote Link to comment
Ray Libby
What do you need help with? As far as I know VW Viewer will only view and print files. Quote Link to comment
Mies
How do I use the tape measure tool, for example? When I try, I measure something like a door that should be nominally 36" w and I get something like 25mm. Is the Tape Measure tool not sensitive to the scale of the drawing or drawing view? There should at least be a help file explaining the tools you are allowed to use. How do I adjust units, etc? There are available View layer tools, 3D tools, lighting tools, etc and not a word on how to use any of them. There are available walktrhough and flyover tools - how does someone not intimately familiar with Vectorworks (such as your boss or the client) use these? Quote Link to comment

Just downloaded it for a test drive since I recommended it to a client and I can't render the VPs or find any of the Saved Views. I guess you're supposed to clean up and render all before sending the file over. AND, how can you lock the file so that ou work is not suceptible to being passed along to other users of the full VWs application? Arch.
