layer height wall height association

can someone please tell me why that when i set the layer z to 0 and delta z to 8' then link wall height to layer delta z the walls are always lower that the layer height. in this case 6' 6 3/8"

I have tried to view layers like layers in a cake. if the layer is 8' high shouldn't the walls linked to the wall height be 8'?

never mind. it's some bug. now, for no reason the walls are at 8' they changed in the course and i don't know when or how

ok, now i'm getting mad. the walls are again 6' 6 3/8" all i did was increase the layer delta z and the walls changed back down, now i've changed it back but the walls are still wrong.

Could it be that the Insertion Option for the particular wall style is set at 6'-6 3/8" causing the wall to be drawn at that height. Then if you tell VW to "Link to the delta Z" the wall will change to that height...
