Sketchup to Vectorworks... not working!

hello, what am i doing wrong? i am using vectorworks 12 and sketchup 6. the plugin is installed and the import sketchup certainly appears in file > import options... the dialog boxes appear and i choose the right file, but nothing happens. nothing is imported. i have tried over and over and nothing is imported from my sketchup file. what am i doing wrong???

Save your SketchUp model as version 5, then try again.

thanks, works perfectly... now i see that it brings it in full size. is there a command that will scale it down to exactly 1/4" to 1' or 1" to 1'?

i figured it out. if i simply copy and paste into a new document it scales it down to that documents settings.

though -- it sure imported a mess of lines! i would rather redraw the thing then clean up this mess. it created so many lines i can't even figure out what the outline of each surface was.

You can change the scale of a layer by right clicking on empty space and choosing Active Layer Scale. You can set the scale to 1/4" or anything you want.

Instead of "none" in your signature it would make it easier to help if you put your Vectorworks version and computer specs including OS version.
