mmyoung
I think I have a corrupt file, but I thought I'd check to see if I was doing something to cause this: - I cannot select or move the viewport by clicking on its inhabitants; I need to click on the border. - Once I get into it, it won't accept dimensions. Is there something that could disable a viewport in this way? Edited August 21, 2008 by mmyoung Quote Link to comment
AllYourBase
a couple of thoughts come to mind. Kind of a shot in the dark. Make sure your viewport isn't part of a group. While viewing the sheet layer, turn on all of the classes. Make sure the viewport is on the none class. As for the dimensions, make sure your dimension class is turned on in the viewport via the object info palette. I hope it is something simple like this and your file is ok. Quote Link to comment
IanH
Just out of curiosity, is this a new viewport or was it created as a cut/paste from another vp? Quote Link to comment
mmyoung
Thanks for the advice. No luck so far. I built a new file of imported parts from the faulty one. This is turning out kind of nasty. Some of my objects are now rendering as wireframe, both in vp's and design layer, while the rest of the model is rendering true (OpenGL, hidden line, etc.). I always wanted that effect and didn't know how to create it! Now I can't turn it off. Actually, I'm going to put this in another post, as a separate issue. I'm going backwards in revisions, trying to find a file I can rebuild... arghh Edited August 21, 2008 by mmyoung Quote Link to comment
mmyoung
Hi Ian, It's a new, native viewport. Quote Link to comment
