Eric Parkes
Is it possible to set up an automatic save feature with Vectorworks that saves work periodically to a temporary file name (without prompting) - like the autocad Autosave feature? It would be usefull at times. Quote Link to comment
Guest
VectorWorks doesn't have a feature that saves periodically without asking, but it does have a feature which can periodically remind you to save your work. The former capability is definitely on the wish list, however, as others have asked for it before you. However, a macro package such as QuicKeys would make it easy to arrange for periodic backup. AppleScript could also do the job nicely, but it would require a bit more scripting savvy on your part. Note that VectorWorks doesn't have any built-in concept of temporary or backup files, so even with QuicKeys or AppleScript your work would be saved to your main file. Quote Link to comment
