Andrew Mac
I am trying to sue the dimensioning tool on my sheet layer and for some reason I can not get the center of windows or doors. It seems that I can only get this when I am on the actual layer. Can't I use the dimensioning tool on the sheet layer and have it snap to all my center points? dcont
Make sure to draw any dimensions in the annotation mode of the viewport. I am able to snap to objects that are inside of viewports but I did notice the smart cursor did not display the word 'center', it said 'object', for window centers. Quote Link to comment
Andrew Mac
So object would be the same as center? Is it very accurate? Quote Link to comment
dcont
It should say center. I zoomed in on a window I had drawn and it did snap to the center. Object is not the same as center, sorry if that was confusing. Quote Link to comment
AllYourBase
If you are still having trouble finding the center you may want to try turning on the Ceiling-main class in the viewport temporarily. This will show the lines of the wall above the door and you can snap to the center of that line. Quote Link to comment
