AStewart Posted July 30, 2008 Share Posted July 30, 2008 I can?t figure out what is wrong with this symbol. In all the other symbols I have created this has not happened. I first created the necessary 2d components, then copied them and extruded the items. Now when I import the symbol and change to an iso view the 2d remains on the viewing plain. I have never had this happen before. Any ideas? Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford Posted July 30, 2008 Share Posted July 30, 2008 Edit the Insertion options for the symbol and deselect the Convert to Group option. When you bring it in to a Top/Plan layer it is converting it to a group deeply. I.E. every object is being changed individually. Since you are in Top/Plan, you get the 2D portion of the symbol. The other option is to strip the 2D portion of the symbol out and make it 3D only. Pat Quote Link to comment
