Align/Distribute quick select?

I frequently use the "Align/Distribute" menu command.

I basically use the 2 following commands:

Align horizontal with distribute by spacing vertical.

and

Align vertical with distribute by spacing horizontal.

It is a bit tedious having to continuously tick and untick the several boxes to get it to switch between these 2 preferences.

Is there a way to save these 2 preferences?

Agreed that this is a problem. Maybe wish list some solutions? One idea is an array of buttons in vertical and horizontal categories. This allows any change in one or two clicks. Sorry, this does not achieve your one click toggle/save.

Same basic rules:

Only one button in each grid can be active. An active button deactivates when another button is clicked in the same grid. Click an active button to clear it. That way two clicks would take care of any change.
