mmyoung
If I use Stitch and Trim to make an enclosed volume by intersecting two NURBS surfaces, is there any way to make this into a solid? ?Michael Young VW 2008 SP3 MD & RW; OS 10.5.4 Edited July 24, 2008 by mmyoung Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
If you convert it to a Mesh first, you should be able to do any solids operation you need to do. If you just want it to be a Solid, first convert to Mesh, Duplicate and then Intersect Solids. What exactly are you trying to do? Maybe we can offer a better solution. Pat Quote Link to comment
Benson Shaw
Stitch and Trim applied to two NURBS surfaces which enclose a continuous volume returns a group containing two NURBS surfaces. To create a solid, enter the group, select all and Add Solids. If necessary, select the Solid Addition and give it a fill color. In a rendered view, a split/section of this object reveals filled faces at the section plane. If you need the object as a hollow surface, then don't Add Solids. -B Edited July 24, 2008 by Benson Shaw Quote Link to comment
