Bob Holtzmann
I just found a cool little tool (called Box Object, or just Box in the workspace editor) for creating parametric boxes, with the options of making through-openings in every size and direction. The strange part is, I could not find any documentation on it. I added it to my workspace with the 3D tools, but it was not on any default tool palette. Is this a new tool? It appears to have arrived with SP3. Quote Link to comment
Ray Libby
That is interesting, never noticed it before. Quote Link to comment
ionw
It is odd, I had found it about 2 or 3 weeks ago, added it to my workspace, played with it a while, and meant to get back to it, and forgot about it. Thanks for reminding me. Ion Quote Link to comment
mmyoung
The other objects in the Solids palette are pretty interesting as well, all parametric (you can specify several of their features at creation and edit them in the OIP). You can bring in the whole Solids palette, do a screen capture of one of the icons in the Workspace Editor and haul it into Photoshop, make it 26x20, and use it for the icon. All new to me and pretty handy ? especially the parabolic solid and the box tool. ?Michael Edited July 5, 2008 by mmyoung Quote Link to comment
