reverb
Our office recently upgraded to 24" Imac's running OS X 10.4.11 and we are having problems printing to our DesignJet 500. When selecting the DesignJet 500 in the print dialog window VW will crash. If we print to a different printer there is no problem and if we print from an older mac (Powermac G4) the file(s) print fine. This problem is consistent on the three new Imac's. Any help would be appreciated. Quote Link to comment

reverb
unfortunately clear print settings does not work - I hope it is not an intel processor vs. print driver issue. Quote Link to comment
M.CH
Are you sure you dont have Leopard, OS X 10.5? How new are your iMacs? If that is so then VW11.5.1 will not be happy. Quote Link to comment
islandmon
Take at look at your Console Crash & Print Logs .. Perhaps you should give CUPS Printing with Gutenprint a try. Quote Link to comment
Administrator JuanP Posted June 30, 2008 Administrator Share Posted June 30, 2008 If you are running OS 10.5 you may want to upgrade to VW 2008, in the other hand if your PowerMac G4 is printing in Mac OS X, share the printer and try it from one of your new iMac's. Also, try to emulate the drivers using HP 800 or even HP 450C from the printer list(OS X). I could not find any printer driver support for Mac OS X 10.4 or 10.5 for HP DJ 500. Juan P. reverb
Yes, we are using OS X 10.4.11. We purchased refurbished Imac's with the older operating system. Quote Link to comment
