MikeB
Our office has been using Powerplot for years to print to our HP DesignJet 600. We have reciently been notified that Powerplot is no longer a supported product. Can anyone make a recommendation for us as to other printer drivers and their pro's and con's. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks Quote Link to comment
Ken
Definitely MacPlot! In 1996 I carefully compared the two, with MacPlot offering more useable features than PowerPlot. There was also a discount for Minicad users back then. Those features included Mirror Reverse printing and Plot file saving (perhaps now equalled by its competitors). It's my recommendation. ------------------ Kenneth Quote Link to comment
FRED JOHNSON
I have been using Microspot's MacPlot Pro with MC7 and VW driving HP330... not a single problem and great output. Unless you go in for a postscript RIP I think MacPlot is the ONLY alternative currently available. HTH, Fred Quote Link to comment
PeterT
I agree with the above. We use Microspot's raster driver on an HP DesignJet 230 with excellent results. Their product is now called Microspot GraphicPac or Ultra GraphicPac (formerly MacPlot) and you get both a raster driver and an HPGL2 driver with it. The only downside is that it uses a software protection device (dongle) which is required at each workstation for speedy plotting, or if you get the Ultra GraphicPac you only need one dongle and your entire network recognizes it. Good Luck, Peter Thayer Quote Link to comment
