Selection Handles

My selection handles have disappeared all of a sudden. The object can be highlighted though. Preferences indicate that they should be displayed.

vw 2008? look at the mode bar and choose the 2nd mode on the 2D selection tool.

Will appreciate more clarification from archoncad or mikey. I have VW 11.5.1. From one file, object handles are visible when selected. On another, object handles are not visible at all, although I could see from the object tab it has been selected. I tried your suggestion of choosing the 2nd mode on the 2D selection tool, still no handles are visible. Thanks.

is the object locked, or grey?

Activate the first mode on the mode bar if you are using VectorWorks 11. i thought at first you were using VectorWorks 2008

when you select an object, try the Fit to Objects command (apple+6 of ctrl+6). This will fit your view to your object. I need more information about your midding object, what kind of object is it

I now notice the handles in the "problem" file. They are extremely small as almost invisible. The objects are lines, hatches, any drawing in 2D. They are active, not greyed out, etc.

Is there anyway to control the size of the handles? Thanks.

Similar question. working on vectorworks 11.5 on a mac book pro running leopard, the selection handles are very small... is there a way of altering the size of them? thanks

No, there isn't any way to alter the selection handle size. You should check out VectorWorks 2008, it has a new way of showing selection that works beautifully.

There are known compatibility issues with Leopard and all versions of VW prior to 12.5.3.

You need to upgrade VW or downgrade your operating system.
