cld
We are currently using Vectorworks 11 and want to upgrade to the most current software. Could you confirm Vectorworks Fundamentals is what we need. What is Vectorworks Designer? Does it do everything that Fundamental does but with more creative options. We currently use the software for measured drawings and to create visuals (combining with Atlantis). Any advise much appreciated. Quote Link to comment
D Wood
Welcome to the Techboards. You could start with this recent thread "Do I need Architect, and if so, why?" It also helps if you create a signature so that other users can see what your present setup is. Quote Link to comment
cld
We are currently using Mac OS 10.3.9 and plan to upgrade to 10.4 when we purchase the new Vectorworks software. We are not architects - we are interior designers Does Vectorworks Designer combine Vectorworks Fundamental? Quote Link to comment
Charlie_P
As D wood says... Fundamentals has been called Vectorworks Lite; you'll want one of the add on modules so you get the benefits mentioned in the thread referred to by D Wood above http://techboard.nemetschek.net/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=103185#Post103185 Designer is all the add on modules together, Renderworks is still extra though. If you're into Artlantis then you probably won't need RW. There's a feature matrix here http://download2.nemetschek.net/www_misc/2008FeatureMatrix.pdf which shows you what you get with which bit. Charlie_P
Second question - Fundamentals is the main lump to which everything else is bolted (sort of... fundamental, really) Quote Link to comment
