Toggle auto join walls

Is there some way to toggle the Auto Join Walls preference?

I think it would be convenient.

Here is a script set to toggle Auto Join Walls. It also lists the preference number for other preferences to customize the script. Once you turn it into a plug-in menu command you can assign a keyboard shortcut to it.

You can use the Quick Preference for it.

Quick Preferences are in the pop-up at the right hand end of the Tool Bar.
