tesseract
Is there a way to add or subtract layers from an existing layer link? I have always had to resort to making a new layer link. Quote Link to comment
ChadLeeper
In the linked layer, select the linked group (layer) you wish to unlink. It will be locked. Unlock it. Delete it. Add additional links by using the "Create Layer Link..." menu item. Quote Link to comment
klaus
Hi I don't think that is what tesseract wanted. I think he (and I) would like to know how can you tell which layers are linked in a layer link (without having to write them down when originaly making the layerlink) and then delete one or more of the linked layers and add one or more other layers ie what I would like is to be able to fully edit the layerlink ... some of the drawings i work on have 50+ layers and when I return to an old drawing I have trouble trying to remember which layers were used on a layerlink cheers Klaus Quote Link to comment

Julian Carr's 3d-manager package includes a 'Link Manager' wher you can create editable Links. http://www.zeta.org.au/~jbcarr/ HTH, Hannes Quote Link to comment
Guest
tesseract: Perhaps what you might want to try is checking the Object Info Palette, it tells you what layer is being linked, per object. If you have all selected then it will not, but you can edit selection and use the buttons to move forward, backward and highlight links. You can then unlock and delete a selected layer. ------------------ Brian O Nemetschek North America Technical Support Specialist [This message has been edited by Brian O (edited 12-21-2000).] Quote Link to comment
