Imperial Units Calculations Spreadsheet (free)

Recommended Posts

In the years before computers, I used to work a little brass metal calculator that worked with vertical slides with slots for adding feet and inches. The metal stylus would fit in the slots, and moving the slide upward would add, downward would subtract. In the years following, we have seen desk calculators for entering feet and inches. And now there is a digital computer program called archCalc which essentially duplicates the desk calculator functions.

Realizing that I can do all of my imperial measuring calculations in VectorWorks, I created a very simple spreadsheet that sums up dimensional numbers, and displays the sum at the bottom. I named it "AddFeet Jr.", after my old brass slide device.

The VectorWorks file is in version 12 format. I would appreciate any useful feedback from other users on how to enhance or improve this file.
