sfatelier
My files are too large to email and I am wondering what the best compression software is for Vectorworks. I have 2008, Mac OS. Thanks! Quote Link to comment
michaelk
For files that are close to the size limit, I've been able to use Stuffit to zip the file. But in real life it's much easier to do an ftp or to post the file on a web site and let someone else download it. You're a mac user - you could just get a .mac account. It's worth it just for this, but there are other benefits, too. hth Michael Quote Link to comment
rDesign
You can also just use the built-in OSX ability to create Zip archives: right-click on the file(s) and select 'Compress (your file name here)'. PC users usually don't have Stuffit Expander installed, which is why I always send Zipped files. As Michael said, FTP is a good option if the files are still too large to email after compression. islandmon
Check versiontracker.com/macox/ for some deep & wicked compressors ; ) I just use server links via ftp uploads** and of course the old stand-by DropCompress or PathFinder. **Interarchy v9 is seamless with OSX and incredible !!
