Gilly
Is there any way to change the spaces between the letters in fonts? Thanks Gilly Quote Link to comment
Tom4
I have not been able to do it in VW, I use Illustrator and can do it easy. Tom Quote Link to comment
Gilly
I am new to Vectorworks and also use Illustrator which as you say does it easily. Are you a long time VW user? Quote Link to comment
Jeffrey W Ouellette
There are no text kerning functions currently in VW. But this is a good wishlist item. Quote Link to comment
Gilly
Are you part of the VW development team then? Do requests from users get implemented? Quote Link to comment
Ray Libby
Yes, read Mr. Ouellette's signature. Requests from user do get implemented. VectorWorks 2008 contains a lot of user requested features. Post a wish to the Wish List Requests forum and it will be looked at and possibly added to the database for consideration in future releases. Quote Link to comment
Travis
Gilly, et al, Depending on what you're trying to do, you can change the letter spacing by converting TrueType to polys. Then group the wording, enter the group and adjust spacing, etc, as needed. It's just very inefficient, especially compared to AI. But, it you're trying to lay out a sign panel or something that has relatively few letters, it works well. Good luck, Quote Link to comment
