RickR
I need to import architects title blocks exactly. The question is what is the closest font for the various ACAD SHX files they used? Does anyone have a listing of commonly used ACAD fonts and TTF matches? Is there a way to get SHX files as Windows fonts? Does someone make TTF files from SHX? Most of the time the drawing text doesn't really matter. But this is different. They get very particular with their own name and logo. Quote Link to comment
0 Pat Stanford
Many moons ago, Autodesk had ttf versions of their shx fonts available for download from their website. I think that they still supply ttf versions when you purchase autocad, so it is possible that you might have a copy. If you search the internet deeply enough (ie "romans.ttf" "simplex.ttf") you might find something interesting. Make sure your virus protection is up to date if you do. Quote Link to comment
0 RickR
Thanks, I've gotten a list of the fonts from my newest client. Most are OK. But two don't even Google Has anyone seen x-hlvl1s.ttf or x-hlvm1s.ttf ? Quote Link to comment
0 brudgers
Those look like Helvetica clones. So you might get an exceptable match with those. If the information is static, another option is to have them send you a PDF of their title block. Quote Link to comment
0 Ray Libby
If you can't find matches for the fonts try having them convert the text in their titleblock to polygons. Quote Link to comment
