Ard
Dear people, How do I draw the 'twisted surfaces' (don't know the English word...) as shown below? I spent nights on it, but I'm afraid that I'm not experienced enough... Multiple extrude is not working very well, since it's connecting the wrong points, for some reason. But that's a different problem, I guess. Hope you can help me! Quote Link to comment
mike m oz
Try Loft With No Rail instead of Multiple Extrude. Separately convert each of your profiles to a Nurbs Curve and then loft between them. For best results make sure each of the curves has the same number of vertices. For your last profile have two vertices very close together where the shape edges merge. Edited April 7, 2008 by mike m oz Quote Link to comment
Bob Wagner
Mike m oz has the same solution as me almost...I would try converting your profiles to NURBS then moving them in 3D space, then lofting. Doing this has gotten me out of a lot of problem modelling. Bob Quote Link to comment
Jonathan Pickup
no question, loft surface... use the loft with no rail and use ruled... that will give you straight sections... Quote Link to comment
