CS1
Im pretty sure in archicad you could cut a section and then move objects in that view, for example in a section view select the FLOOR and move up 100mm or so. In VW2008 how do I do that. I know if I create a SECTIONAL VIEWPORT and then go in to the EDIT DESIGN LAYER mode it takes me back to TOP/PLAN view. And if I cut a 2D section that just explodes it to line. What am I missing? Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
When you go to Edit Design Layer, make sure to check the box labeled Use Viewport Properties. This will set the view to the same one as in the viewport. Pat Quote Link to comment
CS1
Is there away to hide the objects in the background? So I can just see and edit the objects that are cut by the section line? Quote Link to comment
mike m oz
Section Viewports are snapshot views of the model information which will update when you select to. You cannot make changes to any of the Design Layer information in them - all changes have to be made on the Design Layers. To temporarily hide background objects in a Section Viewport change the Depth Range on the Extent tab under Advanced Properties Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
Do you mean background objects or foreground objects? In either case, no, there is no easy way to hide the things that are not shown in the Section Viewport. Pat Quote Link to comment
