Space Command Area Accuracy to 3 Decimal Places

Recommended Posts

Is there any way to reduce the 3-decimal place accuracy of the space command? There doesn't seem to be anything in the dialog box or settings that would address this. It causes clients to laugh and is an embarrassment.

Eh? My VW doesn't seem to have Script Editor, or "Space" within VW Plug-In Editor. Are you using a different version?

Is there a preference setting? I've found where to limit dimensional tolerance, units tolerance...

I'd like to be able to limit the space-tool dimensions to fractions at 1/2"

I don't appear to have a "space" script to edit (tho the menu path you specified previously doesn't exist for me, either... the closest I found was tools>scripts>script plug-in editor).

Islandmon had been helpful to many of us, but on this occasion, perhaps we need VW tech support?

The "VectorScript Plug-in Editor" lists all of the Plug-ins from the VW>Plug-Ins directory.

Then from that List of Plug-Ins ... it is possible to review and edit the parameters and to create new scripts, too. Not sure why you are not able to active the Editor from the Organize Menu.

File > Document Settings > Units

On the "General Display" tab look under "Area" at the top right of the dialog box for "Precision". Set it to 1.

SteveK,

That's it! Thank you.

Islandmon, in 12.5 Space is not listed as one of the editable scripts. In 11.5 Space is listed and it's parameters can be changed.

Aside from that, I notice that the Proposed Area data field does not display the value entered in the settings dialog box- just "0 sq ft" even though a value is shown in the settings dialog box.

How DO you edit the parameters of the Space Object Tool? Like everyone has said above, it's not listed in the Vectorscript Editor!
