(Columbia, MD) March 19, 2008 ? Nemetschek North America congratulates Dirtworks, PC, for being featured in GardenStory, a documentary for public television. One episode of the ten-part series, entitled ?The Healing Gardens of David Kamp,? will focus on the work of the New York City-based landscape architecture firm and VectorWorks Landmark user. Following GardenStory?s national distribution on April 5, 2008, 69 PBS stations have committed to schedule the series.

GardenStory examines the way gardens can transform lives and communities, and Dirtworks? restorative gardens exemplify this theme. The Joel Schnaper Memorial Garden in New York City, the Life Enrichment Center in Kings Mountain, North Carolina, and the Legacy Groves of Somerset County, Pennsylvania, commemorating the events of September 11, will be presented as engaging examples of the power of restorative gardens to support health and well-being, assuage grief, and enrich the lives of those who set foot in the garden space.

David Kamp, FASLA, president of Dirtworks, PC, describes the Legacy Groves project and the role VectorWorks played in the project: ?The goal of the Legacy Groves project is to bring the community together for a meaningful purpose that can promote healing and understanding. The concept behind the Legacy Groves was to extend the simple act of planting?planting trees and nurturing them to maturity?across the county. A flexible strategy for design and installation was required to accommodate many variables, such as weather and site conditions. VectorWorks allowed us to easily organize our drawings and coordinate our efforts with various clients.?
