Unless I am very much mistaken, it is not possible to save a stipple then use it to an existing object or stipple. You need to select it in resource browser then draw stipple outline fresh.
I would like to be able to convert an object to a stipple using a saved stipple and ideally, I would like to replace a stipple with another saved stipple.
I believe that this limitation also applies to hardscapes.
