Don Berinati
I did a search to see if there had been any posts about how to do this, but found nothing, so here goes. I was using the Prairie style in some windows on a project, but would like to make a different pattern with 3 lites across the top of the sash (2 verticals/1 horizontal) dividing the top across into 3 lites and the entire sash into 4 lites. Tried using the Colonial pattern to do this but there don't seem to be enough parameters to control the pattern to the extent I need . Anybody have any luck doing this sort of pattern with the existing window tool? Thanks! Quote Link to comment
gmm18
No, I have tried, but found that if you know what you want it is very easy to just create your own muntin grid with an extruded polygon that you can place in the plane of the glass. Quote Link to comment
brudgers
Use custom sash with two rows and one column. Include muntins in the top window. Dont include them in the bottom one. Both windows are fixed glass. Reduce size of mullion Edited February 27, 2008 by brudgers Quote Link to comment
Don Berinati
Thanks - this got me pretty close to what I want, though the rail between the upper and lower needs to be a bit thinner. Will work on that. I'd forgotten about custom config because I kept thinking I could make the muntin pattern work by itself. I've been playing with Windoor demo, but don't think it can do as well as VW for this pattern. Again - thanks! Quote Link to comment
Don Berinati
When you do this, are you turning the window into a symbol or some other method? Thanks! Edited February 28, 2008 by Don Berinati Quote Link to comment
