Christiaan
Any word on RAL support in VectorWorks? Quote Link to comment
Christiaan
This is the word from Holger Everding at RAL: Vectorworks xml palettes are included with RAL C1 DIGITAL 4.0 version 4.0, which is actually available in German and from the 2nd half of march in English. So it seems they're already available for any German VW users out there. And according to this page it goes for ?149 instead of the normal ?198, if you buy before 31 March. http://www.ral-digital.de/ral-order4.htm Quote Link to comment

Christiaan
Cool, so we could create our own palette from the CMYK figures. Quote Link to comment
Christiaan
By the way the English version now available: http://www.ral-digital.de/english/ral-order4.htm Quote Link to comment
rDesign
This may have been posted before elsewhere, but this website EasyRGB: Search a Tint in addition to RAL colors lists RGB values and color matching for many other collections. Tim Quote Link to comment
VectorSigma
Hi guys Having followed the links on this thread (thank you so much!) I have successfully edited the Vectorworks colour palette using the CMYK values to print (within reason) accurate RAL colours. I am now trying to achieve/find out the CMYK values for the BS4800 colour standard. Has anyone got any further info relating BS4800 to CMYK values or if not, a chart/table correlating BS4800 to their nearest RAL equivalent? Many thanks Quote Link to comment
Christiaan
Does anybody use the RAL colour palette with Vectorworks? What should we purchase and how do you add it to Vectorworks? I've downloaded their RAL Digital demo and there's nothing in that to suggest that is a way to interact with VW. Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted January 13, 2015 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted January 13, 2015 I haven't messed with it before, but I just pulled down the demo and it does not appear to save/export to anything other than a RAL "set", no export to XML or anything usable by Vectorworks other than the raw CMYK values, which you'd have to enter manually. I will see if there is another method to get color palettes into Vectorworks, but it doesn't seem to cater to any that I am aware of. Quote Link to comment
Christiaan
XML files probably come with the purchased version. Quote Link to comment
Christiaan
I talked to RAL and they said no compatibility with v2015... yet. Coming later in the year. Quote Link to comment
Christiaan
XML files finally available for RAL: http://www.ral-farben.de/en/PRODUCTS-SHOP/RAL-DIGITAL/RAL-DIGITAL-5-0-Full-Version-Licence.html Quote Link to comment
Christiaan
RAL is assuring me Vectorworks has integrated the RAL colour palette into Vectorworks (or at least offers it as an add-on), but I don't see it or recall RAL being added or offered. Quote Link to comment
Nicolas Goutte
The German VW seems to have it: "RAL Design Demo". (The original American VW does not have it.) 1 Quote Link to comment
