chstech
I am having a problem getting lights to attach to Light positions Obj.... What is the quickest way to 'attach' the lights? Thanks Quote Link to comment
Steve B.
Well, obviously the instrument symbols should have been converted to instruments. Then select all the instruments and (my method) go to the Object Information Pallete and type in the position name, making sure of syntax, spelling, capitalizing, etc... Doesn't help to have a Position as "1 Electric" and type in "1 ELEC." as example. To double check the unit count, right click on the position name - select properties, then check the Position Summary and Sum Insts are checked. The Position box should pop up and show you the count of units on the position. Steve B. Quote Link to comment
chstech
Steve, I know that much, but I have about 200 Lights and 60 Light Positions... Some of the instruments attached automatically, for some reason about 40 did not.... Looking for a quick fix as time is precious. Quote Link to comment
Steve B.
I would do a Find and Modify. - Select all the units for a position. - In Find and Modify, If Position is "1 Electric" as example, make class Non Plot. - In Organize, create a new class called Non Plot and make it greyed out. At this point all the units on a position with a correct position name for 1 Electric should be greyed out. Those not attached can easily be changed. Bitch doing it position by position, but can't think of any other way. Sending to Lightwright only shows a bunch of stuff with no position assignments and you would need to match up UID/EID's which is painful. Or maybe do a Find and Modify for Light, then make position a 0 or something, which will dis-associate all fixtures from their positions, but NOT move them. Then back in the plot select all units on a position and re-enter in the OIB the position names. Hope this helps. SB Quote Link to comment
