Quick Change Visibilties to Saved Views

CS1

Question

Once you've saved your views with various layers and classes switched on/off, to change these selections at a later date you need to go back in to the "edit save view" mode and show/hide the appropriate views again relying on your memory for which ones you want on/off.

It would be easier if on your main screen if you could use the "navigation" panel to show/hide various layers and classes and then click on your existing save view in the "navigation panel and click somehting like "update" or "save changes to..."

I was actually going to point out that in the Organization Palette, if you click the visibilities button, you can see exactly what layers and classes are visible in a saved view (or a viewport) and modify those visibilities. If you select multiple views in the left hand column, you can change the visibility of a class/layer in all of them at the same time. Great for when you need to add a new layer into a bunch of views.

The Redfine button (under the pulldown menu [black triangle on the left of the Navigation Palette panes buttons]) is also great if you only need to change a single view. Just set the visibilities and redefine it.
