Thomas Ames
When dragging an exterior wall out, or in from several interior, perpendicular ajoining walls, is there a way for the perpendicular walls to come along for the ride and not seperate? All walls have the same specs, ie. 8"CMU. So far I've had to go back and adjust each perpendicular wall to catch up. Thanks. Quote Link to comment
Thomas Ames
Antone, thanks so much for your help. Your suggestion works I now somewhat recall this procedure. I bought 8.5.1 back in May, but life has been too busy to get up the curve. I can now spend several hours a day through the winter and learn how to put this to work. Thanks again. acepernich
Yep. Select the wall(s) to move and all the walls you want to keep joined. Then, using the 2D Reshape tool, drag a marquee around the wall to move (this should include an endpoint of each of the other walls). Now you can drag the wall, use Move, etc., to get the wall where you want it. Whatever endpoints of the selected objects ar inside the marquee will be moved. If your wall layout is such that a regular marquee would include some endpoints that you don't want to move, hold down the option key (Mac) while using the 2D reshape tool. The pointer will turn into a lasso, and you can then make an irregular shaped selection. Quote Link to comment
