thomfreeman
How do I change the graphic appearance of the stock plug-in objects? We like the way a number of them work, but hate the way they look. Is this a difficult task? Examples: The wall mounted incandescent light fixture, the stem is way to long. or We like to draw in color, and the print black&white. Some of the plug-in objects use a gray fill that will disappears when we go to print. Any suggestions other than stop being so picky? Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
There is no easy way to edit the PIOs provided with VW. They are shipped locked so you can't get at the script. If you don't need the true PIO capability you could use the PIO to get something close to what you want and then convert it to a group. You can then adjust the colors/line weights and fills as you see fit. Convert it to a symbol and put in your library for later use. If you do need the PIO capabilities, then you will probably have to write your own script (or hire someone to do so). Probably not a great option unless you are going to use the changes a lot. thomfreeman
Thats what I thought. I hat to say this, but there is something I miss about Autocad.....Editable Block Attributes...easy to make and easy to change. I wish you didn't need to be a programmer to tweak this program. RubenH
Why you don't use a symbol, with a plug in object inside. Symbols works like blocks in autocad. You can make a symbol from plain geometry, like autocad or with a plug in object inside. Quote Link to comment
