3. Accuracy in 3D - nearly non existent and this is a bad one as VW is supposed to be at least in the upper class of accuracy.Would very much like to get it spot on engineered by TECH.
3a. When a extruded I Beam is punched full of holes in it, the Smart Cue's still do not work and TECH Engineers is working on this case from October 2007 and still not getting an inch forward motion on reparing the problem.
3b. When a thin plate is punched full of holes (600 x 600 x 1200 x 2.5 mm with 10 mm holes punched 50 mm apart) it is unusable and you cannot work with it ( Tech Eng know about it)
3c.When you link for example a rectangle to an existing 3D bject to be extruded and you adjust the size it "jumps" of it fixed point at least 0.5 mm (Tech Eng know about it - still not fixed)
3d. When you take for example a rectangle and set it at 150 x 150 mm with single digit selection - when you clip holes in it and extrude it then - wnd when you double check it with 3 digit selection you get it for example at 150.214 x 150.387 with the clipped holes also not on the exact position.
4. When a Boolean Add/Sub/Inter action is done then we must have the option to visually see the subtracted part and be able to use it where the users see it fit to be used or the option to delete it.
5. To have the option to "connect" 3D parts by
a. face
b. by two points
c. by three points
d. by angle
6. A option to check for interference where 3D parts overlap each other.
7. Plate bending tool where you can bend a plate by
a. a line you pull over the plate
b. distance from a edge
c the angle of bending
8. A 3D piping tool that can be withh ease manipulated by
a. lengths
b. bends from edge
c. angle of bend
d. twisted
e. Valves, Flanges, Taps etc (or a site that is VW compatible with these fixtures)
9. I-Beams, Angles etc in 3D (Also the RSA type to be included)
10. Base plates, Top plates in OIP with specification of holes etc
11. A tool where for instance 2 x Angles get "connected" you can specify it to be mitred connect at the angles you wish for or not.
12. And because VW is not compatible with something like the INTELLICAD "STEEL" & "STRAD" - to get something like that goiing as it is the running demand from a baseline CAD to see to 1st phase design check both to enhance productivity and cost to the client.
13. As said 1st phase design check is what will be the biggest demand from now - it saves time and money and IF VW have 400,000 plus users as claimed it will be welcomed.

19. To be able to for example - selct a 3D hole and shift it as required without entering the solid.
20. A UCS & WCS in the design Layer Screen - one in the lower Left corner and the other in the upper Right corner. It something that all CAD's have except VW. It is a usefull tool in 3D.
21. Call a SP by it number not a SP R2, R3 but SP 3, SP 4 - it is as if VW knows that VW 2008 is a dud release and rather hide the problem in a SP 2 R2/R3 in the cupboard.
Think it is pretty much the lot - will fill the list a bit later as I get to it again.
The following will be a good indication of what is goiing on:

1. DWG extension and take AC direct and also Microstation files
2. You have
2a. IntelliCad base CAD.
2b. IDEA - Arch
2c. Steel - Steel Struct analysis

2f. Fine ELEC - Electrical
2g. Fine SANI - Piping with calc & Spreadsheets
The way to go is obviously add-on's
Also you will see that TC is on that route.
And the best part is that for the price of one VW Designer & RenderWorks with one Upgrade I can get IntelliCAD Base, Idea, Steel & Strad. Never mind TC - it is coming back with a force on to the level of VW with much more to offer.
And we are stuck with VW at that price and it is not in line where the demand are ! ? Why - VW upper hierach missing the line here ? We need tools guys - urgent.

A few urgent requests for VW 2009.
