well.. the data was stored a filesystem which has had completely died after a series of crash situation. As the filesystem was of FAT32 format, there was no proper chance to get stuff recovered after each crash, as FAT32 does not have journal.
We had to use FAT32 for windows/macos compatibility.
so not I'm in a situation when all work files had been lost in the harddrive; the files are definetly still there, but as you know there is no filesystem.

Hello dear forum members.
I have came a across a major data lose

We had just recovered all the image files (jpeg and png type), and also ms office files. The utility called magicrescue (http://jbj.rapanden.dk/magicrescue/) and PhotoRec (http://cgsecurity.org/) were used.
Both of these have quite a few file formats supported, generaly all popular image formats are supported.
To be able to recover a file, the programm need to know first of it's 'magic byte' and it also needs to know the data structure.
If some one here could provide us with the information on VectorWirks filetype, that would be greatly appreciated!
