Cut a cylindar at an angle?

This seems like a simple task but I haven't been able to figure it out. Is it simple? Thanks

you can use the split tool (use the 3rd mode) or you can use the section solids command from the model menu

Several ways to do this.

1. Rotate the view so the cut will be perpendicular to the screen and use the Split by Line tool to draw the cut line.

2. Create another object (Extruded Rectangle) that will give you a surface where you want the cut to be. Move this around in 3D space until it properly cuts the cylinder. Then either Subtract Solids or Section Solids.
