Measurement of distance between vertices on a curved polygon

Question

Does anyone know of a quick way of meauring the distance between vertices on a curved polygon? I have been duplicating the polygon and slicing at the vertices then checking the perimeter of the line. This is important for measuing edging of plant beds in landscaping.

Let's wish it!

This is a Distance Along a Path (or Perimeter) option for the tape measure and the dimension tools. Or a new dimension tool and a new tape measure tool.

Measures or annotates path length between any two clicks, or series of clicks on any path or edge of any object - 2d, 3d, straight, curved, line, poly, NURBS, mesh segment, etc.

If path is closed, tool has toggle key between long and short portions.

Chain/station options annotate individual or cumulative path lengths among multiple clicks.

Segment selection highlights during measurement.

Associative option: Dimensions update as the path is edited.

Parametric option: Set path length and shape changes as one or more points are moved.

OIP options for dimension display format: Inline, offset, normal/horiz/vert, text size, font, left/right placement, arrows/hashes/dots,

And another thing . . .
