HoskinsArchs
Any experts for terrain modelling in VectorWorks ARCHITECT out there? I need advice on a rendering of roadways and pads within a terrain model (DTM). My problem: the road centreline (black) and the outline of pads (red) is always visible in the rendered image, in OpenGL as well as in Final Quality RenderWorks. This doesn't look any good on a presentation or animation. Does anyone know a way to switch off the visibility of these lines? I could not find anything in the VW documentation or the forum. PS: I had the same problem with previous VectorWorks versions. VectorWorks 2008 Dell Precision PWS 380 Pentium CPU 3.20GHz 2.00 GB RAM OS Windows XP Professional (2002 SP2) Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
Put the centreline and the pads in a different class and make that class invisible. Pat Quote Link to comment
HoskinsArchs
Thanks for your response Pat - as far as I can see the centreline of the road IS the road so whatever class I put the centreline on, I will not be able to disconnect it from the road - hence it will always disappear when I switch off visibility of the class. I've solved the problem with the pads - the red outline of the pad is automatically put in a class Site-DTM-Modifier, which can be easily switched off. There seems to be no such class for the road centreline (?) Quote Link to comment
